J.J. McCarthy named Vikings starting QB after dramatic comeback win
J.J. McCarthy is the new starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings and started his NFL career with a road comeback win over the Bears, 27-24. The 22-year-old rallied Minnesota with 21 points in the fourth quarter after a slow first half. He missed his entire rookie year with a meniscus injury while Sam Darnold led the team to 14-3. McCarthy arrives with a 27-1 record at Michigan and a 2023 national title.
